LEAVE TRAVEL CONCESSION
Encashment of earned leave along with Leave Travel Concession while in service Rule 8.22. (1):- A Government employee may be permitted to encash earned leave upto ten days at the time of availing of Leave Travel Concession while in service, subject to the condition that the total earned leave so encashed during the entire service career shall not exceed sixty days in the aggregate.
(2) The encashment of earned leave under this rule shall be allowed only once during the relevant block of four years and shall be admissible without any linkage to the number of days and the nature of leave availed for Leave Travel Concession. (1) ਇੱਕ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਰਿਆਇਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਸ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਗਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੁੱਲ ਕਮਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਸੱਠ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
(2) ਇਸ ਨਿਯਮ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਮਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦੀ ਨਕਦੀ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਬਲਾਕ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਰਿਆਇਤ ਲਈ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਦੇ ਸਵੀਕਾਰਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
PUNJAB GOVT. HAS ALLOWED ITS EMPLOYEES THIS FACILTY FOR VISITING ANY REGION IN INDIA OR TO GO TO HIS/HER ANCESTRAL HOUSE ONCE IN A BLOCK OF 4 YEARS.

MEANS OF TRANSPORT
BY TRAIN,PUBLIC SECTOR TRANSPORTER INDIA PLANES OR ANY OTHER MEANS BUT ONLY FOR AREAS WHERE
THESE MENTIONED MEANS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. AS PER OLDER RULES,NO REIMBURSEMENT OF LOCAL CHARGES OR
ACCOMMODATION EXPENDITURES IS ALLOWED.MOREOVER LATEST NOTIFICATION OF LTC HAS ALSO TO BE STUDIED
MINUTELY AS NOW GOVT. HAS ALLOWED 10 DAYS LEAVE ENCASHMENT FOR LTC IN A BLOCK FOR ITS EMPLOYEES.
DEFINITION OF FAMILY FOR THE PURPOSE OF LTC
- GOVT. SERVANT’S WIFE/HUSBAND AS THE CASE MAY BE, & TWO SURVIVING UNMARRIED CHILDREN OR STEP CHILDREN WHOLLY DEPENDENT ON THE EMPLOYEE IRRESPECTIVE OF THE FACT THAT THEY ARE RESIDING WITH GOVT. EMPLOYEE OR NOT.
2 MARRIED DAUGHTER WHO HAS BEEN DIVORCED, ABANDONED OR SEPARATED FROM HER HUSBAND & IS RESIDING WITH THE EMPLOYEE & IS WHOLLY DEPENDENT ON HIM.
3 PARENTS AND/OR STEPMOTHER RESIDING WITH & WHOLLY DEPENDENT ON THE EMPLOYEE.
UNMARRIED MINOR BROTHER AS WELL AS UNMARRIED, ABANDONED, SEPARATED OR WIDOWED SISTER RESIDING
4 WITH EMPLOYEE & WHOLLY DEPENDENT ON HIM,PROVIDED THAT THEIR PARENTS ARE EITHER NOT ALIVE OR THEMSELVES ARE WHOLLY DEPENDENT ON EMPLOYEE.
5 RESTRICTION OF TWO SURVIVING CHILDREN DOES NOT APPLY IF
> in respect of those employees who have already more than two children prior to 20.10.97.
> Children born within one year of coming into force of this restriction;
> Where the number of children exceeds two as a result of second multiple births.
6. Not more than one wife is included in the terms of family. Where second wife is with the permission of Government, the second wife shall be included. Though it is not necessary for the spouse or children to reside with the Government employee, so as to be eligible for LTC . Husband and Wife are one unit for the purpose of LTC and thus condition of dependency is not applied on the husband or wife as the case may be. Children of divorced, abandoned, separated, widowed sister are not included in the term “Family”
HOW TO AVAIL LTC
PERMISSION IS SOUGHT ON ANNEXURE FORM-A FROM COMPETENT AUTHORITY
ADVANCE FOR LTC
EMPLOYEE CAN GET 90% OF TOTAL LTC BILL 60 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF COMMENCEMENT OF LTC. HE HAS TO SUBMIT RECIEPT SLIP OF TICKETS WITHIN 10DAYS OF RECEIVING THE ADVANCE & HAS TO START HIS TOUR WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ADVANCE. EMPLOYEE CAN GET PERMISSION TO CHANGE THE TOUR VENUES FROM COMPETENT AUTHORITY BEFORE STARTING TOUR.
