Ministry of Finance, Govt of India on Thursday has set up a four-member committee headed by Finance Secretary T V Somanathan to review the pension system for government employees.
The committee would suggest whether in the light of the existing framework and structure of the NPS, as applicable to government employees, any changes therein are warranted.
smsPunjab Exclusive Details- as per memorandum, Committe will suggest Structural Changes in existing framework only. So it is clear that committe will not suggest any recommendation relating to restoring of OPS, rather committe will emphasize on improvements in NPS only
